90 gallon Pics after 6 months

I am looking for some ideas for my tank. It has been set up for 6 months and I have added a 5 headed torch since this pictures was taken. I am basiclly looking for ideas and to see if you think the LTP at the bottom right looks to big. It has grown over a inch since I bought it a month ago and am worried that it is out growing my tank. Any ideas or suggestion are welcome. Also I have only 260 watts of PC lighting so I can't get into to much.

Are you looking for suggestions for fish or more corals? I only saw two clowns, what else do you have in there?

I have 2 clowns, a flame angel, a Copperband Butterfly (he has been great I know watch out), diamond goby, mandrin ( he eats frozen mysis and brine) shrimp goby and a yellow coris wrasse. I am mostly looking for ideas with the corals, colors etc. The picture is about 1.5 months old.

How long have you had the red starfish? Does he seem to do well in the tank? He adds a lot of color.

Thanks for the words. The star has been in the tank for about 2 months and he seems to be doing good. I hand feed him mysis once a week.

Nice! Did you start out with all live rock, or base rock seeded with some LR? Just curious. What about a xenia.

I start out with all of the LR. I bought it from a wholesale LFS that was going out. It was cured for 4 months. My tank never had any alge blooms. I was thinking about xenia I am just a little worried about how much it spreads. Is there a slow spreading Xenia?

I wouldnt worry about that anemone now. lOok what happened to mine. This is in my 55 g -converting to a 90 this weekend. This carpet is growing like crazy, and starting to get a little scary...

marilynrn711, that is actually a sebae anemone not a carpet. because its living in the sand i would say H. crispa. they can grow rather large, but not as big as most carpets. HTH

Thanks for the advise but mine isn't an anemone it is a a Long Tenacle Plate. I changes forms and size through out the day. It will go from short tenacles to long ones and can expand twice it size. marilynrn711 that is a great looking tank!

Chase2931:

I would think, that being a plate coral, it would be possible to propagate this by cutting it into sections when it gets to big. Then you would have frags to trade/sell, as well as bringing this back to a size you are comfortable with.

I would check into the propagation forum to see what techniques/options that you might have in trimming this back when your ready.

LTP are kind of hit or miss anyway, so I wouldn't try to frag just yet. I think it looks quite nice there in your tank. It becomes a nice focal point.

As for its growth pattern, if it gets so big that it threatens some of your surrounding corals--you might want to look into trading it in to your LFS.
