Selecting the right Skimmer!

I have decided to go with the Aqua C EV-240 skimmer for my 55g reef setup. Is this a good choice or is there a better skimmer out for less money??? Suggestions would be appreciated before I blow all that cash!!!! Possible 100gal upgrade in the future..

Its a pretty good skimmer from what ive read about them.

I had good results with my EV-240. The only issue I had was that the Mag 12 pump that was recommended wasn't powerful enough. Once I upgraded to a Mag 18 it worked great.

I have since added an EV-2000, but I have 450 gallons.
