how to get natual pankton

I just want to know how to get live plankton. I use NSW from the lab near my house, is that mean my water already have live plankton already? Or how to collect them?
Thanks

Why do you want plankton? General collection could bring some real nasties into your tank. If there is a specific reason there may be a answer already in the hobby.

Depends on if they are supplying raw water or filtered water. That's something you'll have to ask them. Even if it is unfiltered raw sea water, the pumps will have damaged a percentage of the plankton. If it's filtered or from a well, there will be no plankton. However, you can just go off a beach or dock to collect water with plankton. If your looking for quantity to use for feeding, you will also want to invest in some kind of plankton net or sieve. The folks at the lab might be able to help you out with a little plankton collecting if they are so inclined.
