Exclamation clam trouble

Recently I noticed that my 13 inch and 6 inch derasa clams have developed a small white mucus like spot about the diameter of a penny on the center of thier mantle. What is it and how do I help the clams out. Also it has only happened to these two clams, I have several more untouched. Thanks
~Chase

75 gallon reef, 3 1/2 years old. Water conditions are great. twin 250 watt reef stars. Refugium 1 year. reef safe hermits, 5 green cromis, 1 small percula clown soft corals, hard corals, 2maxima clam, 2crocea clams. And 1 baby derasa. Then the giant and the 6 incher.

I recently moved the tank around to provide the greatest space for the giant clam, he was moved to the far right where there is a lot less curent along with the smaller 6 incher. Could that be why?

Thanks
~Chase

Thats the 6 incher, the 13 incher is next to it but out of site, the white on the big clam is not as bad as it is on the one in the picture.

when was the last time you changed your bulbs? that looks like the start of central bleaching but judging but the HA in the pic its not from lack of DIN

The light system is fairly new, about a year. The hair algea grows in my tank a lot I think do to the halides, since I have done countless waterchanges and preps for getting rid of it, it does not bother anything much in the tank where is grows. DIN? Sorry I havent seen that before?

O and the white stuff is mucusy, looks almost like you could brush it off, I tried with curent but nothing happened.

DIN= Dissolved inorganic nitrogen, different forms of ammonia, nitrates. what k bulbs are you running now and have you changed them lately?

I had the same thing on my derasa and it ended up being from me moving it to an area with too much lighting...kind of like a burn. As far as I know Derasa clams really don't need as much light as say a crocea or maxxima. I moved mine way down in the tank and kind of shaded by some rocks slightly and in time it healed. A long time though. Hope this helps!
