Thanks for the offer Turtlesteve; I'll look into it. I go up near Colombia for swim meets on occasion. Great tank too.

Keep and eye on that hermit. I have at least 30 scarlet hermits in my tank not one of them has red legs like that. I think your hermit is going to be huge. It's definitely not one of the dwarf scarlet hermits we all keep in our reefs.

LOL, okay! I also bought a queen conch not knowing how big they get too . You live and learn I guess. Right now he's the most peaceful member of the hermit crab clan--and no one picks on him for obvious reasons.

Flipturn... I am assuming you swim year round in the Atlanta area. What team and the such? I happen to be in the know about club swimming around Atlanta... (I am 25, so I don't know if I qualify for this thread anymore )

Cool rotarycoach! Yes I do swim @ Swim Atlanta---it (and reefing of course) takes up most of my free time . I swim at the John's Creek pool. Do you know the coaches at Swim Atlanta?

Its great that younger people are getting involved in the hobby and learning early what to do to help preserve the reefs and how to properly care for the corals/fish. An idea you may want to look into is suggesting to the local clubs that they host a jr. member club within the adult one. Our club has been doing this for yrs. It gives parents a chance to be involved with their kids interests and also allows you to have access to alot of information and benefits you may not otherwise be able to get to. Just an idea to look into.

When I first read this thread it reminded me of the chat rooms where people swap screen names to talk to later...lol...I keep waiting to hear "ASL" LOL!!!

lemmiwinks: Haha can't live without a tank can ya?? I know how it goes

Oh, and by the way, for all you old folks, ASL stands for Age/Sex/Location LOL...!!!! J/K!

Oops, it's tough to stay away from shorthand; that means just kidding.

Haha couldn't resist
