Yep, they call it "Coarse". I've been using it since I am unable to locate the Schuran stuff anymore. No issues with it at all.

Hey not to hijack, when u guys use the ARM course are u getting a "black soot" all over the inside of your reactor and the outlet tube? I'm on my second round same container & that's what the residue looks like. I don't run carbon or GFO btw. Posted this question twice & got one other similar result but not many replies. Sorry for the interruption.

dual chamber reactors

Do you all use different media in the first and second chambers? I am setting up my first reactor and have the cr-2 and am not sure what to purchase for it.
Thanks
Jeff

znut
do you use the larger size or arm or the smaller sized in your second chamber? I must have an older model, both of my chambers are the same size.

My MTC is almost 1 yr old. The first chamber is larger and the second is smaller. I use the GenX large in the large chamber and the ARM in the second (smaller) chamber. I tried the Arm in the large but it kept getting clogged. No problems using the GenX. HTH.

Fonda,
I'm with you Gen X media with Arm in #2.I also mod.my PH probe in my MRC chamber 1 and getiing and exact reading in chamber one where all the CO 2 is being mixed. This GenX maybe it's me giving a more stable PH readings, now vs.Arm.
But my readings are running now 6.63/to 6.65 over 24 hour periods. Can't get anymore stable than that.
Also send you and email on some Aussie Acans

I also found out that if folks want to run their Eff ph at 6.3 you can this with GenX, without turning it to mush.
