Talking Think I'll keep her..

My niece loves my tanks. We went on flashlight run last night. Thinks all the night critters are very cool!

Nothing like getting them involved young and then raising responsible reefkeepers! Kids are always the best, staring at all the cool little lifeforms wide-eyed with excitement.

My daughter has been raised w/ tanks in the house. Both FW and SW. She knows everything in them. Last night, she was working on a report. Wife calls me in and says "Go look what your daughter is looking at on the computer". I sneak in the room and she's doing research on whale sharks. Got pic's and everything. Made me a proud Papa. She's always looking into the tank and showing me new stuff she found or telling me if a fish or coral dosen't look good. She's only 9. A future reef geek I guess.

yeah for some reason they love the Xenia. My daughter is only 2 and loves to look at the tank with me and say goodnight to 'Nemo". My son turns 1 next month and loves it when i hold him against the tank for him to look in. Can't wait to setup a Nano in their room.

You keep people in your tanks???? I would imagine the adults would have hard time moving around

I'll probably set up a nano in our kid's room once we get around to starting a family. Get them started young. Besides, *I* have to have something to look at too when I get up at 3am to rock the little one back to sleep while my wife is sleeping

In that 3rd picture you can almost hear her saying, "Wouldn't detritus removal be easier, and possible tank crashes more easily avoided with a bare bottom setup?"

You gotta love kids.

Last night she wanted to know if we could do it again, maybe there are more things we didn't see. Trying real hard to san anemone right.

Getting a good smile out of her is nearly impossible, she's missing her 2 front top teeth and one bottom. I told her how much she'd like the pictures when she was older. She didn't buy it.

Both of our kids love all the tanks here. We first had FW but after a visit to MACNA we turned a empty 55 to SW. Our son (4) will feed, name and observe all the fish. He loves them so much we had to get a 2 1/2g for his room which he dutifully feeds everyday. The baby is only 2 but is so inquisitve and wide eyed when we bring a new fish home. For the longest time she would point in a tank and exclaim "Ish, Ish".
