Cannot get clear pics from Nikon 5400
I am having great difficutly taking clear pictures. Everytime I take a picture, I get a blurry photo. I even used a tripod and I got the same results!
Also, I zoom in on Macro mode and best shot selector and the image becomes blurry! Any way to fix this? I also have a FujiFilm S5100 camera, my new camera was suppose to be an upgrade not a downgrade. Thanks

can you get the exif info for one of the blurry shots? what i'd like to know is the shutter speed.
other things to check- were you in macro mode? were you using autofocus and was the image sharp in the lcd before you pressed the button? Greg ps- if you're not aware of it, the exif info is recorded with every image- it has all the data/settings for every shot your camera takes... very handy

good deal. if the shutterspeed was 1/64 i wouldn't be surprised to see a little blur where stuff is moving in the current or if a fish was swimming quickly by, but if the whole image is blurry there's a focus issue.
can you post one or two of the blurry shots? i'm thinking maybe the autofocus is off- you were using autofocus? did the image look sharp in the lcd before you snapped the pic? when i'm using a point and shoot i like to press the shutter button halfway down and hold it til the focus is locked on, then press the button down the rest of the way.
