Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Elph 7.1 anyone got these?
How do they perform on coral and close up photos?

I have one of those and it's a nice little camera. Takes real nice pics. The problem I had on reef shots was getting it to focus where I wanted. I haven't found a way to manually focus unless you move it back and forth. I ended up getting an SLR and there is no comparison between the 2.

my wife has one as well. i had tryed to use it to take pictures of the reef but it isnt fun trying to go through the settings to get it the way you want it. i dont find that the socalled macro comes out to choppy or pixilly. not a big fan of that camera for reef pics, i would stick with my DSLR or a digital that has a decent lense. it takes great point and shoot photos tho.
