Anyone have/used the Olympus C5000?

I recently bought this 5 Meg digital camera for $349 and even spent $200 extra on the Macro lens, adapter tube and polarizer, but I still can't seem to get awesome shots. My pictures still look washed, and I can't seem to take pictures as we see them live. I have played with the ISO, shutter speed, f settings and even gone as far as using it in manual mode, but still to no avail. I am mainly concerned about taking macro shots.

I have seen some of the pics in this forum, and mine just don't look as "impressive"......what could it be that I'm doing wrong??!?!?

I'm thinking of selling the camera now, only to get a more expensive Camera that will be easier to use and fit my needs, but before I do this, I would like to know who has used this set and what you have done to make your pictures "perfect"

Although some of the pics look "good", I've seen much better since they really capture the true colors....

I have some macro shots here: http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...5&pagenumber=9

hey those shots look great- especially the mille's- wow!
fyi- all the camera info [shutter speed, aperture, iso etc] is recorded with every shot and stored in a .exif file. that's so you can always go back and see what your settings were.
have you tried a tripod yet? that will help with sharpness. try and shoot square on to the tank- any angle will decrease sharpness.
there is much to learn about photography. getting another, fancier camera might help you get better pics but learning all about photography will DEFINITELY help you get better pics
you might find this article helpful as a start:
