Question on Sequence ReeFlo Snapper.
How can I adjust this pump to get less flow? I know that I can restrict the output of the pump but it will reduce the lift time of the pump. There is anyway I can adjust the motor so that the pump can operate less wattage as it advertises. Here is the link:

When you dial the flow back with a gate valve at the pump exit pump it creates back pressure which will make the pump more efficient and use less wattage. I just bought a sequence dart and that it what it says in the instructions. I'm not sure about how to lower the power going to the motor.

Motors rated to operate at 120 volts, 60/50 hz. You're proposing a variable speed motor that will still operate efficiently. I wouldn't try it. I'd think you'd cook the windings.
I have a Sequence Dart and throttling the valve back does absolutely no harm to the pump. The manufacturer seems to think so and they designed it. The way it was explained to me, the more you throttle back the less wattage you use. At least thats the way I understood it. Ordy |

let's see if I understood it correctly that if I restrict the discharge output of the pump, it will use less wattage.
I will use the Kill-A-Watt meter to measure this theory. Thanks!

I tried it and it works, I put my killa watt meter on the snapper and closed the discharge a little and the wattage went down.
