little red things on glass. Please help

I was just looking at my tank and found some little red bugs on the glass. I am not sure what they are. I dont think they are pods because i have seen pods before and they dont look like them (unless they are a different kind.). I was thinking flat worms but i cant find a good pic online to tell what they are. They look flat red bugs or worms. I really not sure how to explain them other then that. I tried to take a pic and i cant get a good one to come out. anyone have any ideas or could point me to a website to help me id them. I tried Melevsreef but they are not on there. I will try to draw a pic in paint and post it in a min.

Thanks guy

Vince

An arrow crab, yellow coris wrasse and melanaris wrasse are my top 3 to get rid of flatworms. In that order too.

Be careful with the arrow crab. They can be a problem.

Yellow Coris Wrasse is my pick. I have one that decimated my red planeria(flatworm) population.

Ditto on the Yellow coris wrasse. And they are good looking fish.

Six lines you can find easily enough, I'd check Reef Plus in North Aurora first, and as a last resort I'd bet Petland Naperville might have them.

I heard they'd eat flatworms too, but I don't know for sure. I'm tagging along to find out.

I know i have seen six lines all over that's why i was asking if they will eat them. I was in reef plus a week ago and he had a few of them. I am worried about adding a coris to the tank though. I already have a Falco Hawk fish and Cinnamon Clownfish. I wouldn't want them to pick on the new fish. That's another reason i am leaning towards the six line i thing they are a little more aggressive.

another thing I would recommend is using a small diameter plastic tube to siphon out as many as you can. It works great if you can attach the tubing to a rigid tube so that you can point it right at the red spots. It depends what it is, but dipping a rock in cold water quickly also gets them off quickly. There is a chemical that also wipes them out without harming your coral or fish. I have a little bottle that might have enough for your tank (29 gallon?) that I got from Ostrow (thanks again!), I will pass along if you go that route. There are a lot of threads on flat worms on this site, good info. Many people say that a specific type of fish doesn't 100% necessarily eat them, some are finicky and don't. One guy says "Mine ate them all" and the next guy says "mine didn't eat any at all!"

I bought a Green Mandarin for them. I was told it wouldn't work as well as a six line wrasse or a psychedelic mandarin, but I wanted one anyway, so why not try it? I didn't have many to begin with, but I haven't seen a single one since.

6900- Arrow crabs have been known to kill shrimp, crabs and even small to small/medium fish. I can say for sure that mine ate my signal goby and wiped out my shrimp. He also ate every single flatworm in my 180, when I had no progress with a green spotted mandarin, 3- 6lines, green coris and a melanaris wrasse.

I had some flatworms. I added an arrow crab, and haven't seen a flatworm in a long time. I have shrimp in my tank, and have never had a problem with the crab and the shrimp.

Once you catch him is this something you keep in your refug until you need it again in the main tank or would that wipe out much of the life/benefit of the refugium?

I will probably just take him back to the LFS for credit. I did not buy him as a need, but just becuase I think they look cool and wanted to add another critter to the collection.
