Hydrozoa pictured in SPS.
I can't believe i was actually able to see these in a photo. I have circled the area for easier viewing for yas.

Hmm, I have never seen them actually settle on corals before. Interesting. Keep us updated with effects, if any.

I honestly didnt know what they were when i first saw it. i searched around and am positive those are hydroids. My coral has great PE during dusk till dawn hours and there are no damaged areas.

Interesting. Ive never seen them on corals themselves before either. Do you have mass amounts of them in your rocks??

id worry that they will multiply so much to cover the whole coral. they tend to do that if food is plentiful. id try to get rid of them right away if they are only on that coral. trow away the entire coral if you cant get rid of them soon. and soon i mean today!

so thats what those are, i just seen them in my new 30g. i dont feed plankton or anything. are they parasites ? filter feeders ?

they're kind of common in new tanks, but for the most part they go away on their own.
i would give it a week or so and see what happens before you take any drastic measures like ditching the coral.

You can take a toothbrush or something like that to them. I'l see if I can dig up a picture of mine.

Just a quick question......do theses acro's have acro crabs? This could be something that they eat.

i had a small frag of an sps lol really broad id on that huh guys lol i forget what it was but was covered and the polyps wouldnt come out anymore and it started to rtn so i pulled it last night...so you guy should try and take care of them soon before it rtns and lose it all.
