How long can Anemones go without light?

I have a RBTA, very healthy and well fed. My tank has a very invasive macro algae that defies all attempts at removal. The plan was to move all my corals to my frag tank (done) and turn the lights off until it dies off. But I don't have anyone to put the RBTA. Will 3 weeks without light kill it if I feed still?

Would not recommend stressing it for that duration. Not to mention the algae when stressed is likely to go release gametes, turn white, and rot quickly. Not a great thing for water quality.

I would never go beyond a week--even that is stressful (tolerable, but stressful).
