Hmm, I have never seen them actually settle on corals before. Interesting. Keep us updated with effects, if any.

I honestly didnt know what they were when i first saw it. i searched around and am positive those are hydroids. My coral has great PE during dusk till dawn hours and there are no damaged areas.

Interesting. Ive never seen them on corals themselves before either. Do you have mass amounts of them in your rocks??

id worry that they will multiply so much to cover the whole coral. they tend to do that if food is plentiful. id try to get rid of them right away if they are only on that coral. trow away the entire coral if you cant get rid of them soon. and soon i mean today!

they're kind of common in new tanks, but for the most part they go away on their own.

i would give it a week or so and see what happens before you take any drastic measures like ditching the coral.

The OP's are the cooler looking ones, although you clearly DO win as far as quantity.

Actually the colony of coral i showed you has 2 acro crabs living in it. My bleny keeps picking at it too, but not the polyps. I'm starting to wonder of he is picking at the hydro. He has never touched any single other sps in my tank. Well that i have witnessed anyways.

No the coral has been growing a lot. It doesn't have many left because I had taken a tooth brush to it. I have heard they tend to die off on there own anyway but I am keeping an eye on it.
