ATI/D&D get their lamps from the same factory. D&D is the english arm of Deltec I believe.

Nelson, how deep is that tank?

I could not tell how many T-5-54w bulbs he is running. Do you know?

How high are the bulbs from the water surface?

What combo of bulb types is he using?

How often does he replace them and what ballasts does he use?

Lastly, how many gallons is that skimmer rated for?

Thanks a ton for the thread, this is amazing!

A local friend here in San Antonio just converted his 240g to all T-5. It looks really good....though he burned a few corals the first couple of weeks as it was a lower light set up before.

Do either of you know the mix of color temp on bulbs he uses?

I mean, out of the 32 t5 bulbs that are 54w, how many are 6500k, 10000k, attenic etc.?

Thanks again,

Todd

Will clams do okay under all T-5's? I may change the lighting on my 37 if they will.

so what you are saying is that half of the bulbs are aquablue specials and the other half are blue plus?

The reason I am asking is that my tank is running HO T5's and it looks nowhere near this good. I am running two blue plus, one aquablue special and one daylight bulb over my 38 gallon. I am contemplating replacing the daylight bulb if this would help.

I am running a mixed reef however. All of my SPS are small (I can only afford to buy small frags) and don't seem to be growing much. One has really changed color on me when I got it it was solid purplish pink. Now it is a really light pink with darker tips.

None have this intense coloration that I am seeing in this amazing tank.

Amazing.

Are my eyes playing tricks or is the entire back glass covered with zoos and xenia?

Also wondered if there is any substrate--looks barebottom to me!!

drtango, yeah I just noticed the back covering too. This tank must have been up for a while. You can't just grow zoanthids all over the back like that over night. I also like the second pic showing the collection of anthias and chromis... my favorite fish for an sps tank.
