BTW, I don't remember any buttfish in Nemo. I suppose that would have made the whole CBS-Tetra-Nemo thing quite a bit more interesting...

There wasn't any buttfish but there is that time when the little seahorse mentions that nemo is going to touch the "butt" (meaning boat). Maybe one of the script writers confused a clownfish with the infamous buttfish?

As long as its about "eating" not "selling" I guess its ok. As soon as someone trys to sell their butt to be eaten then we might have a problem.

Well, this thread just helped answer the question of what that new fish was in my tank also. I was dumbfounded this morning whatching my new visitor....When I found out where it came from, I don't know if I want to see it again.......and yes, he is out of sight again---and we all know where he's hiding!

I saw a thing on TV, where this certain type of small fish got into a guy's urethra that was in the water at the beach. Apprently, it finds its way into such places in animals, then raises its caudal fin so it stays put. I can't imagine the pain that guy was in.

Yeah the cuke has it pretty bad but think about the buttfish. I would feel pretty bad if the only place I had to hide was up the butt of some cucumber. And even in there I don't think that gonads would be on the top of its menu. Oh well, everyone has different tastes... literally.

Update......

The butt fish has been out of its home for a day now. I was just watching him for a while and he's trying to get back in, but, the sea cukes butt keeps slamming shut and won't let him back in---too funny, well, actually kind of gross!

LOL!!! Nice to see this thread is still kickin'. And, it helped someone figure out what they had in their tank, too. I remember when I first saw this fish. I was like "hey, I didn't buy that!" My boyfriend at the time suggested that it was a baby of the tang mixed with clownfish (LMFAO!!). When Sherri ever told me what that thing was, I was amazed. That topped my 5" flatworm for sure!

Well, yet another update.....Bye Bye Butt Fish! :-( My Sea Cuke died. He didn't move for 2 days and didn't look good at all. I took it out of the tank. I tried using a razor knife to cut open the cuke to see if the fish was still alive......It was too gross. First off, the skin of the cuke was so hard. Once the tip of the razor went in, this jellowie stuff started coming out. That ended my "diesection". Maybe if he didn't crawl up the butt of another animal, he'd still be alive! O well, maybe I'll get another one in the next cuke?!?!
