Just found the cutest hitchhiker!

Picked up a frag out of my frag basket and this little guy fell off the bottom of the plug. Thought he was cute, so I took a pic...

What cute little strange creatures have you found in your tank? I also found a small (about the size of a nickel) pencil urchin that seemed to emerge from my newly acquired chaeto in my hang on...sadly he died after I found him, as he tried to climb out of the refugium...dumb urchin!

Well, I have my liverock curing in a tub in the living room... found my first hitch hiker tonight. It was one of those small snails (never seen one over 1/4" kindof like an astrea, but always a clean shell... the ones that multiply fast. Glad to have 'im!

Here's something strange I found in my live rock and after almost 9 months, it's still alive! This is a Crinoid, sometimes called a feather star. Some say they are hard to keep but it stays in an area of high flow and I keep it fed with cyclopeeze. Beautiful creature!

Nope, it was definitely not a limpet... it was a snail.

Bernie21, I feed my Crinoid only a few times a week. It's currently in a seperate tank where I'm housing some live rock in quarantine. When I first saw it, I thought it was a little fan of some kind. But after a few days, it had moved. I posted a picture for an ID of it and found out it was a critter. It will move to a different area according to it's need for flow. I've read that they are difficult to keep for long but this little guy seems to be very content with his home!

That is absolutely awesome! I love that "feather star!" I love to see the critters that just come popping out all of a sudden. This little star I have is cool, but don't know if I'll ever see him again...I usually just see little legs hanging out of the liverock...this is the first time I saw a whole one all at once...had to get a pic cause this one was so pretty.
