They had some at Dallas North last weekend but I'd prefer to get my cyano/nutrient situation in check before I add more fish.

I always like seeing updates. I was just over in your neck of the woods a couple of hours ago, and wondered where you lived to see your tank finally. I was at Commerce & 75/45.
You were right around the corner! I'm a block away from where 75 "starts" - if you drove past the DART construction you probably passed my place.

One day I'd like to visit. Maybe help you siphon out some cyano.

I would hope it gets done before then.

How is the Vortech working out for you? Did you find you needed to dial it down further to avoid a standstorm? I know it was discussed a few pages back, but I didn't see an update.

I actually began to crank it up I had it up to what I expect was around 70% and it was rockin'!

Then I had to change it! As I dialed it up, it started to overflow the front of my tank. In an effort to improve circulation, I lowered the Vortech about 2" and turned it down to 50ish%. It's now scouring out sand in the center of the tank albeit slowly.

I also added a Tunze 6025 in an effort to improve circulation across the back of the tank and reduce cyano. After being used to the lack of wires in the tank, MAN the Tunze jumps out. I would love to replace it with another Vortech and use the wireless drivers.

Isn't it funny how that works? I totally agree with you. Powerheads are just such a beating now that I'm so used to having them outside the tank where they belong

I think it might be about time for an update. I would like to see what kind of growth you have had.

I actually hacked a few things pretty hard for the DFWMAS frag swap earlier this month so things are just starting to bounce back. I've been pretty busy and maintenance has suffered a bit as well. For shame!
