How to level a stand before attaching the top on it?

I am constructing a stand out of plywood and I see that some legs, which are next to each other, don't have the same height exactly(their difference is about 2-3mm).What could be done to level them before putting the top of the stand on them?

I would use a belt sander or a plane to gradually shorten them up.

IME cordless tools are very handy for confined spaces or working above your head where a cord might be in the way but are gutless and don't last long enough...
Yes you can buy very good cordless tools but you do pay the price.
My cordless AEG drill cost nearly $500 and I've nearly killed it in less than 4 years!
Personally I'd go with a cord, more power and lasts as long as you want.

Rich.
