I am very happy with it.I am getting a decent skim mate out of it plus its still new.Much more skim mate than my tunze produced. It hasn't gone nuts at all it pretty much gives a steady production of bubbles.

That skimmer is looking great.

One thing ,I really don't understand why they run the input/throughput water into the same camber as the exiting water. I would guess a fair amount (maybe 20% or so) of water goes directly to the exit without being skimmed at all. it's not a big deal but It's a easy fix, you would think they would have caught that. I like the way Bean animal and or BK addressed this problem so all the water gets skimmed.

Yes hahn mentioned that also but when I spoke to Shane from ORCA(he built the skimmer) he said the skimmer will eventually get everything. If it doesn't get it in the first past there is only 400 gal of water in the tank.I am using the dart return pump to fed the skimmer so water falls into my sump and water is then returned into the tank and skimmer.I do think that there is enough water passed threw this skimmer to clean my tank water. The skimmer body itself should hold a good 15 to 20 gal of water.I will take a pic of the foam production.

That thing's a beast! I'd always wanted to see a wet neck in action.
It will be really interesting to see just how much difference it makes.

Do you have any close ups of the wet neck without any water in it?

Does the neck have two tubes and the water rises up between these two tube then flows over the inner one into the skimmer?

How many gph are you running through it?

I really should stop looking through these posts...
I get skimmer envy!!

Rich.

In this pick look at that small black pipe on the left side. This comes up from the supply line and goes into the skimmer cone part where it fills the top and spills over into the skimmer

In that pic the water goes into the black tubing and where you see the top of the skimmer the water falls over.I will shut off the skimmer pump and show you how it work in a video.

Ok I took a video. The skimmer isn't very expensive. The price was very fair compared to whats out there. There is a tube within a tube and thats how the water from the wet neck enters the skimmer.I took a video but I don't have a sound card so I don't know if you can hear me explain it.
