large angels any luck?

I was wondering if anyone has ever had any luck with putting a large angel in a soft coral tank.....i heard they are fine in a SPS tank. I was thinking about adding a blue face angel to my tank. i have a lot of mushrooms and a colt coral, xenia, zoos and i am going to get more soft corals down the road.in terms of fish i have a blue tang, yellow tang, two percs clowns and a clarkii, and a few small fish (goby, blenny, dottyback) Does anyone think it is possible without him eating the corals?

Good chance that they will eat zoanthids, xenia, anemones, and many mushrooms. You can try keeping them with some of the more noxious soft corals though- Nephtheas work very well for that, as do some Sinularias.

in my tank, theres a imperator, a french, a regal and an annularis they ate many zoos, but not palys. also, most leathers and sinularia's have gone untouched. kenya's have been sampled but the frogspawn and torch untouched.

I would not keep large Angels in tanks below 400 to 500 gallons. I have an adult imperator in a 660g tank (but it was allready in, when I took over the care of the tank - its not mine - and I would never have added it to the tank; in the beginning he ate all soft corals I put in the tank. After some time and good feeding he stopped this behaviour and I could say he now is allmost reef safe (only trying someime "new entrants"). But I think its much worse in smaller tanks and they simply outgrow them to fast and if they "do not know what to do the whole day long" and are not fed well they start eating corals...
