What exactly is this!

What exactly is this! I bought this thinking it was a green tree coral. But it is definitly not!

Can anyone help me ID this little fella?

Could be a species of Sinularia or of Nephthea- really almost impossible to differentiate. ID to species level is impossible. "Green Tree Coral" is as good a name as any It will likely do best under moderate to strong lighting, moderate to strong water movement.

Hello,

no I do not think its a Nepthea. I have both species - Nepthea and Sinularia. And it looks more like a Sinularia.

Thanks to everyone, definitely Sinularia.
Well It is not the green tree like I wanted but i still like it.
Do you guys think I could keep a nephia next to it?

Hello,

whats "nephia" - if you mean nepthea - yes.
Normally all soft corals are more or less ok to each other: but you could get problems with gorgonians next to softies.

OK then, Can I keep my "nepthea" next to my candycanes. They are touching now and I see no ill effects on either.But it has only been 2 weeks.
