Midas Blenny
Quick Queston..
I bought a beautiful Midas Blenny a few months back. She was fine golden doing her thing in my tank. Over the last 2 weeks she has turned very dark and stayed that color. I have had one change colors day here or there before but not for weeks. Any thoughts??

sorry to jack the thread I was wondering if midas are safe with sps? I know that few have mentioned that their bicolor, lined, tail nips at sps. And the midas is in the same group as them so are they safe with sps?

It sounds like it's stressed. Has anything changed recently (new fish, or inverts)? How are your parameters?
Happyface, Midas Blennies are in a different genus than bicolors or lawnmowers and seem to be less prone to nipping. |

Yeah midas blennys that are stressed will turn a dark color. If he is staying dark, than something is seriously stressing it out!

Yes these fish are reef safe. Great fish! Great personality! Not aggressive at all! They will graze on algea, so if it looks like they are picking on the rocks, they are just picking at the algea! Get this fish, you will not be sorry!!!!!
