Kaelini = Tonga rock

Let's not say that aquacultured rock is better than Pacific or vice versa. They each have their strengths and weaknesses. Over the long run, everything pretty much evens out anyway.

The best rock is whatever rock you like. It depends on what you want to do with your aquascaping, etc.

Just my $.02

I have aquacultured from TBS, and couldn't be happier. I got a couple gorilla crabs, but I was able to get them out without much problem (as they grow, before they can do any real damage they become brave, and I was able to just scoop them out). The rock came full of life, I have at least 1-2 sponges on every rock, not to mention jewlbox clams, snails, hermits, featherdusters, and things I can not id yet. Also got a condi anemonie, a peppermint shrimp, and a pencil urchin. All the rock is covered in coraline, and could not be prettier. I would encourage anyone to go with aquacultured.

Wow, that sounds really good. Sorry moderators, but I have to ask this. Where did you get your rock?

I'm a big fan (like a lot of you) of Marshall Islands rock. Sight unseen, it's your best bet. But of course, picking rock by hand who really cares where it came from as long as your happy with the look.
