tperk9784 stole my money for a year

I tried to buy a pump from tperk9784 last april or may. It was a little giant pump he was selling on this forum.

After I sent him something like 55$ for it, there was little to no communication about what was happening, and after about a month of not getting the pump I filed a claim with Paypal.

Paypal sided with me in the claim, but there was no money in his account so they could not refund me. [profanity]

Now just a week ago I got a message saying that Paypal had sent me the money that tperk9784 had screwed me out of 10 months earlier.

I was somewhat happy, but I suspect he just wants to use the paypal account again so had to pay it off (he is back here selling stuff).

Why am I posting this? My 55$ is worth less to me now than it was last year. Anybody with any finance training knows that. And I don't want tperk9784 to screw anybody else.

Not cool.

There was no malice in what happened between us last year. You sent me the money I shipped out the pump. You then claimed I did not ship out the pump. I made the mistake of not shipping with a tracking number. Something I will never do again. when I mail something out I ,in good faith, assume that it will get to where it is going. Just in the same fact that you in good faith assume I have shipped it out.

It wasn't until about 6 weeks or so later that I received the box back damaged and tattered the original shipping labels gone. The damage had already been done. I assumed you screwed me and You assumed I tried to screw you.

In my correspondence with Paypal I was lead to believe they had already given your money back long ago. I am sorry that it took this long for you to get it back.

Again I am sorry it took so long to get your money back. I am sorry you felt the need to bring this up so long after it took place. But I know there is nothing I can really say now.

I dunno - my $.02?
I just had a good transaction with Tim Saturday morning.
He drove from Lake Worth to Central Broward to give me $50 worth of coral. He was asking $75, and lowered the price to $50 after I haggled a bit with him.

I believe he also had a good transaction with Adrian - same time, same place.

Tim seems like a stand-up guy, and I would assume he would try to reasonably take care of anything. But, waiting a year - I dunno - seems kinda' wierd to pop up a year later and say something.

It really is NOT that hard to have multiple PayPal accounts.
All you need is a second bank account, and just link it in your banks online system. Same for 3rd, etc...

Look at it this way - a REAL scammer, woulda' just made another account or something. He at least took care of the issue. 10 months later? That counts for SOMETHING.

Again, just my $.02 - feel free to give change.

Besides the fact of taking 10 months to get money back, there was a clear problem of very poor communication. From what I remember, you never even confirmed shipping the pump out at all, and all communication was severed well before I filed any claim with paypal.

I am posting this now as I felt an update / end to the story was due since it has only ended now. Also people have found my prior feedback and are asking me about it.

US mail does not give a tracking# and ground IS NOT the worst shipping method.

actually I meant ground USPS or CANADAPOST. ground does seem to be the ''worst'' lost packages/broken packages.
CANADAPOST ground does give a tracking number so I'm suprised the US mail does not?? are you sure about that? when you ship something they give you a reciept and on that reciept is a tracking number. they use it to trace packages.

tperk could certainly add another $10 paypal to the buyer for the inconvenience of the year's delay. It might go to his credibility in future buys.

Oh well after reading this I have to change my mind...I may have been a little quick to judge....sounds like there was fault on both sides however it seems to me that the buyer is the 'sectchy' one in this deal.
