Longnose Hawkfish, Yeah or Nah?

Would it pick on myPurple Pin Cushion Sea Urchin?

i don't think so. he would usually eat shrimp (I think so).

he probably won't. it just depends on the fish's own personality. my friend had a panther grouper with cleaner shrimp and they were fine. the grouper was about 10" long. another friend tried this and the gropuper ate the shrimp. it depends on the personality.

For sure he wont ahrm a urchin - not on his food list at all. They only hunt shripms and little fish of the open water column.

I keep a pair and say YEAH!

what kinds of shrimp do they hunt. ghost, cleaners, fire shrimp or what???

Normally only mysis (see statement above "open water column"), but I would be carefull with adding new smaller shripms to a tank with any hawk fish.

Good. I guess I'll buy the fish today. I didn't want to buy a $45 fish if I wasn't sure he'd be good in my tank. Thanks everyone.

some may eat hermits that's why the have the long beak to grab the shell and bash it against a rock
