No, they are actually pretty easy fish as far as butterfly fish go!

LOL.

Right now the reef only has a clownfish in it. There was also a Royal Gramma and a Coral Beauty but they became an expensive snack for the anemone.

The FO has a Lion and Clarkii Clown. It had a Panther Grouper but I took it to the store last night for credit.

Yellow Tang in QT right now.

Yes expensive snacks indeed, I remember those I take it the lion is eating all prepared food now? I know you were weening him some time ago with a feed stick?

How big is the yellow? Still putting him in the 75?

Yep, he is eating all prepared food now. It is actually pretty funny, I have him eating silversides out of my hand.

The YT is a couple of inches. I may put him in the reef until it grows out.

Really, how long has he had it. I have read that they can be pretty hardy and easy to care for fish............if they are eating. Otherwise, forget about it.

Yes I was going to suggest that if he was small, let him get some weight on him before he meets the big boys

about 6 weeks. he raises brine shrimp and feeds them selcon in a 29 gallon before feeding. thats the only thing hes been successful with on a regular basis. if he feeds flake first of frozen mysid he shows a little interest, but wont eat much. he's only really been eating the brine, but my friend has high hopes that that will change.

he says e had one about 10 years ago, and one he got it to eat frozen it was a really hardy specimen.

Dave, with all this talk about the c. isopods lately, you only found that one right?
It just seems unreal that so many people have been finding them in their tanks.

I have only found one. That does not mean that is the only one, however, I have seen no signs of any others and the clownfish seems fine.

Have you actually seen them in the tank, not attached to fish?

Hmmm, I never see them in the sand. The only one I have ever seen was attached to the fish.

I was up early this morning and was staring at a small bristle worm in my sand bed. Directly to the left just under the surface of the sand was where I noticed the isopod. It's eyes were not facing me, rather the legs/body was. I ended up using that "claw" thingy to grab it. If it weren't so deathly slow - I'm sure I would never have caught it. It's weird because I've had fish in there since day one. Here's the pic:

the dime is in the background for scale:

The one I found last night was actually on the glass on the front of the tank. It was quite a bit smaller than the ones other people have been finding.
