I'll go with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. I've met him, he's a cool dude.

Stevie Ray Vaughn without a doubt is the best front man.

When I start my own band I'll have a cool front man. It's the focal point of the whole thing. I have noticed that many of the guys I've met recently that are in bands have problems with the lead singer. They may have competent musicians but the vocalist is lacking in most cases. I guess that goes to show you that a singer is more than just a guy strutting his stuff.

Roger Daltry of the Who was good back when he could swing the mike. And I agree, a front man is the singer.

I was a front man in a few bands... fun stuff.
I'll dig out and scan the pictures of me at some point- they're friggin hilarious.

David Lee Roth is the man. Van Halen stunk without him and he is what a front man is.

I think I have to vote for Diamond Dave. Close second Steven Tyler.
Although Jim Dandy was a piece of work...

For some reason when I think of Jon Bon Jovi I think classy lead singer who knows how to really rock.... but sterotypical frontman? ....Nah
For that gig I'd have to say it's a toss up between ol David-hot-for-teacher-Lee-Roth and Steve-introduce-me-to-your-daughter-Tyler. They definately broke the frontman mold when it comes to both those wingnuts Brett |
