ORA Picasso pair

I got this pair from a fellow reefer and just wanted to show you guys and gals a few new pics. I just hope they achieve Onyx like colors as they get older. Please tell me what you think of them.

Thanks tpd. I just thought of something. Has anyone seen any Picasso's that have true Onyx coloration?

Sang,

You're lucky you drove that beautiful car to pick them up... otherwise i would have thought the owner would've changed his mind selling those to you....great distraction!!

Hope everything is well with that pair. Been reading another thread of the mishap of the other reefer that had one of her picasso not eat and pass away.

These guys are still chowhounds arent they??

Take good care of em..and keep posting those updated pictures!!

Hey Nick! The car was all part of the plan. They are eating lots and doing great. Sorry to hear about the other picasso.

Very Nice! Good patterns. I have seen pictures of Picasso clowns with lots of black, but I'm not sure I would call them Onyx. Some poeple would say for them to be true Onyx the dorsal would have to be BLACK not WHITE. Let me say, they are reallllllllllly striking with the white surrounded by black. Yours should only get better-and they are already pretty good.

Sang ive seen them get darn close to onyx, the original that ORA started breeding picasso with was an onyx.... someone posted pics on this forum about a year ago of his ORA and it was very close to full onyx with dark thick black like on my Clowns.

You got a great pair there,

How long did you BTA spawning last?

Thanks guys and gals. GSM, I am unsure as to how long the spawning event lasted as I went to bed. I did see eggs all over the tank though, very cool. I hope these little guys get jet black!

Those are some of the nicest patterns I've seen! very nice clowns!

FYI, my ORA picasso is an onyx & it does not have white connecting the 2nd & third bar, so its not just "black outline" its filled in black.

Yeah, both of these fish also have the black outlines on the white patterns. I can also tell that the spacing around the white patterns are darker.

100% positive. There is definitely a black outline on both fish.

I think that's some of the coolest "picasso" markings I've seen on these forums yet. Nice find.
