Tunze Osmolator Universal 3155

Looking into an ATO for my setup. These are quite expensive...

Comments/Concerns???

I do not want anything with float switches, I have heard too many horror stories.

TIA

Brad

had mine about 2 weeks, works great. be sure to put it in the last part of the sump to avoid micro-bubbles getting on the "eye" sensor and causing it to think it needs to add water. Works flawlessly in the last part of the sump.

The kit comes with everything right? No add-ons?

I have been considering this but I only use Kalk for top off water. kalk is not good for the tunze pump. This is a major disappointment.

Nereaga,
I run them on all my tanks and yes they are complete systems. You can have the option of hooking it to a Kalk reactor or Tunze calcium dispenser down the road but its ready to go out of the box.
I run one system through a Tunze Calcium dispenser and my other is hooked into a Geo Kalk reactor.

They are not recommended to run in a Kalk container by themselves as the calcium will kill the pump in a shortened period of time

I have had mine for about 4 years now and its awesome! I have left at least a dozen times for a month at a time with no problems. If you keep the infra red eye clean it works beautifully. I would use nothing else for topoff. If you can't tell i love the osmolator.
