how long does frozen food keep in the freezer? and freeze dried cyclopeeze

this is a stupid question and I knew the answer to this, I was talking to someone and I said it doesnt keep for long periods of time in the freezer but couldnt for the life of me remember the max length you should keep it.

Also curious on how others feel about freeze dried cyclopeeze, I personally have had great luck with it, just wonder on others input

Hmmm, well I was just noticing that my frozen shrimp (grocery store kind) are getting kind of frosty and the edge ones kind of rubbery, and it's only been a few to several month (can't remember exactly), so wouldn't say years....
