Final price quote on my new 210 tank....
YIKES! I asked for a final bottom line, drop dead price from the dealer and this is what he sent me today. Those of you that have been down this road, can you tell me if you believe this is reasonable and if all this is neccessary? Want to do it right but also don't want to be taken advantage of. Thanks in advance for your input.

Considering I had almost 12 grand into a 180 Oceanic, that's not too bad at all.
What sort of things do you want to keep? I'm not sure if LED is the way to go with lighting, in some cases.

That is exactly why it took me over a year of buying stuff before I set my tank up. I used the time to do research, and not go broke. A win/win.

i would take that quote to another dealer, an tell them to beat it. do you really want to buy everthing brand new, top dollar, and deny yourself all the fun of growing with your hobby?

This is the only dealer within 125 miles of me. We have none locally. This guy comes highly recommened by others in salt that have dealt with him. And yes, I do want to start with the best I can but still feel I can grow with the hobby. I'm sure there will still be plenty of growing pains regardless of how I set up my system or what equipment I use.

I think if your looking to get a turn key setup and the LFS is setting it up for you than the prices are probably ok. Alot of people purchase their tank, stand and canopy locally and then buy equipment from various venders which is usually cheaper.
With that being said, I would change the following: You don't need the glass top. Not sure what they mean by LED's? The sump seems expensive as you could use a used tank and save a bundle. Not sure what "Prime" and "Stability" are but I would guess you don't need them. A few things that you need that aren't listed: A skimmer A return pump. Plumbing supplies. Just for reference, Dr's Fosters and Smith has 250 watt heaters for $20.99 and the Large Mag Float is $19.49. Also, you need to know how many pounds of LR you getting for $450.00 as online rock is about $3 per lb.
