Well obviously they could not put the whole boom into the movie... and that was one thing I was worried about. But they did an awsome job on taking out the less important. Some things I did miss.... but it was just so sweet.

My mom let me stay home today from school.... I think I am going to see it again here soon.

My 21 year old niece went to see it, she said it was the best movie ever... I just haven't been able to get hooked on the whole Harry Potter thing...

This weekend on IMAX. One of my wife's students saw it at midnight and said it was really good but much had been left out. I don't understand why Lord of the Rings can be 3+ hours and HP be only 2-2.5 hours.

My wife and I went to the 11:50am showing this morning. I'd say there were maybe 40 people in the theater.

5 under the age of 5
Everyone else was at least 30 years old.... many were 65+!!

Good movie; but, it's really *not* for children under 13.

Most of the shows were sold out here tonight.... and I couldn't find anyone to go with.

I mean... I have seen the movie two times and would love to see it a 3rd, 4th, 5th and so on. Geeze.... Harry fans around here suck.

I think I am gonna go tomorrow... I just gotta talk some sense into people.

I am taking my Grandson tomorrow. He called me today and even though he and I have always seen the movie together I thought now that he is 16 he wouldn't want to go with his Grandma.

$101.4 million opening weekend.

That puts Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 4th place for most money openign weekend.

I HAVE to see it this week sometime again or I will go insane.

Harry Potter is fluff science fiction/fantasy, Lord of the Rings is classic, meaningful literature. The target audiences are different, though they do obviously overlap.

. . . not trying to sound negative about Harry Potter, of course.

FYI-

They were going to make HP4 into two movies....but they could not find a good breaking point in the book to do so.

I would figure they would have much more details from the books if they did this.... but...

they did an awesome job for only 2 hours and 37 minutes of movie time.
