I have a nice long clear acrylic rod+algae scraper I got from saltwater paradise in tonawanda a long time ago, and a few of the small hand scrapers. You are right it doesn't take long for the blades to rust. I guess I was being a little facetious. The magnet scraper might come in handy though, especially once I enclose the tanks in the wall.

I'm actually epoxying a few mj1200's to some big cheapo ($10) algae magnets I got at petco right now. Magnets sure come in handy. I also just got 100 scraper blades for like $14 at homedepot yesterday.
