typical hair algea. Watch your phosphates and Nitrartes. VEry hard to get rid of sometimes. I'm using tweezers. It's not fun.

Good luck

Put a few tangs in there, they will help you eating up the algeas.

Turbo Snails. They will eat it in two days if you pinch it down low, they love it. Check out http://www.melevsreef.com/ he talks about it.

Looks like green hair to me. Had this problem for a very long time. I would recommend scrubbing these rocks. Limiting the Light for a few days. If a Uv sterilizer is an option, use it to kill off any spores that is already in the water. Do a significant water change. Then follow up with regular changes every week. This is a problem that will occupy your life if not caught in time. Good luck I have had many headaches from your situation.

Wow... even with a yellow tang you still have that algea? Try holding back on the feeding for a couple days... your yellow tang should wipe it out... I say "should". Give it a try. I've seen yellow tangs clean house with worse then that before.

I put 4 Turbos, 1 Blue Hippo, 1 Two Tone Tang, 1 Lawnmower Blenny and a Truncate Bristletooth in my tank and it is all but gone and under control.
