ebay refractometers?

are they any good. i can get one for about $30 shipped. are they accurate?

why take the chance when you can get them new for 45?
Refractometers are a delicate instrument and take some care in cleaning etc--plus you want to be able to rely on them 100 per cent.

chances are, they are okay.. but if you're buying a piece of equipment meant for precision why buy something you are unsure of?
