Diatom Filter?

I am looking for a diatom filter but do not know what is good and what to stay away from. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Vortex makes the best diatom filters.My xl is 14 years old.Motor runs like new.

once you get the hang of getting the vortex running it does do an excellent job ! and they've been making them the same since i can remember
