I've only had great success with peppermint shrimp for getting rid of aiptasia. to get a handle on aiptasia in an eel tank, I set up a 29 gallon bb tank with a power filter and peppermint shrimp. I took out one rock at a time, and let the peps have at it. by rotating rock, I was able to cut down the aiptasia considerably. once I got the water quality improved in the display tank, they didn't come back as fast.

you can also try some of the spot killers, like Joe's Juice. some people swear by it.

isn't there also supposed to be an aiptasia eating nudibranch, Berghia? I have seen it for sale.

I don't know anything about this site, just found it on a google search:

EBay info, saltyunderground:

I do know this group, and they recommend raccon butterflies as well as pep shrimp and Berghia:

Many Butterflyfish will eat Aiptasia and they're fairly hardy.
An Auriga/Threadfin is a good choice.

the only problem with aiptasia eating fish is usualy it doesnt work out in some cases it does , if your aptasia problem is really bad i would take out the rock and burn it with blow torch or bleach it out if its just a few of em here and there get a siringe with some lemon juice or pickling lime and get them right in the stalk.
