No worries, man. Give it a little time. We're at work. I'm sure someone will post something soon. And as far as "shallow" goes... how shallow are you talking?

P.S. Sorry if I got you all excited after seeing a reply...

I would say "shallow looking" like mine is 55"x22"x12" so it is about 5x longer then tall. So as long as it looks shallowish then post it. Or just a rimless tank Oh yeah this tank is rimless

SHHHHHHHHHHHHH..............I'm at work too!

My tank is a little dirty in this pic and its not the best photo quality, but this is my 72x24x12 glass tank that I built. It is basically the size of a 180, but cut in half. I used the the euro style bracing around the top.

Wow, coralfarm123! That's a very nice-looking tank! Any reason you didn't make it deeper? In any case, it looks great.

Thanks.

Giga,

I have a bunch of photos from the build of the tank and stand, but haven't put a build thread together yet. I will try to get some together and post them for you.

Here is link to a great thread that inspired the build and helped me the most.

MrSpiffy,
The tank was originally going to be used just as a frag tank and thus the 12". I ended up getting rid of a couple other tanks and consolidated and now I call this my Show/Frag Tank, but I still have a couple other tanks too.

Here are few pictures from the build. I used the DIY pages on www.garf.org to give me the glass thickness, general instructions, and plans for the stand frame.

Giga,

Are you planning to use glass or acrylic for your build?

i'm using 1/2" glass with polished flat edges and it's going to be rimless and i'm using industrial stenght silicone, I see you built your by raising the bottom a little-hows that working out? It seems to be to be a risk with all the pressure-with your tank you have about 700 pound of water in the tank! Mine will be about 63 gallons

My tank is 1/4 inch glass. For a rimless tank you need the 1/2 inch for sure. You want the bottom raised so that the weight is distributed on the sides of the tank. From what I've heard, if you leave the glass on the bottom you run a higher risk of cracks and breaking. If it was acrylic it wouldn't matter. Also, if you look at most manufactured tanks you will see that they are raised as well. I also put a sheet of styrofoam between the tank and stand.
