Please explain the Octopus Skimmer mods

Please explain the Octopus skimmer mods. I just bought an Octopus 150 extreme for my 75 and would like to know how to do the mesh mod, and the venturi mod.

If there are any other mods for this skimmer could you please explain them to me also.
