Sorry Tanya, trust me when I say I feel your pain. It's been said a million times before, but that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Double hijack apologies.

Hey Ed, The red feathers are beautiful! Made me think of Blue Lagoon. I think your pure red is better...

Josh, thanks for watching the BLOG. His did have the candycane color while the ones I have are pure red. The red really stands out when you see it in person. Im crossing my fingers that they will love my tank and fluorish. Some people are challenged with worms and arent able to keep them, but I did not have this problem with my last tank. In my last tank they grew with new skeleton. They are very beautiful in person.

Your tank is looking great as usual. Your blog said that you are looking for some moonlights - I dont have a particular brand to suggest but as far as color is concerned, white is the way to go. It really gives the moon effect and looks more natural.

I rarely have something to offer but this page has what I will be using for my tanks.

Go with the PFO 1 watt extremes. The brightest Moonlight I have seen. And you cant beat the quality of them either.

moonlights don't need to be bright.

I have one of these from my old tank but can't figure out how to rig it up with my rimless setup.

just so this doesn't turn into some strange discussion of how fish and corals spawn based on the timing and intensity of the moonlight, all of this is BS. I have a Neptune ACIII Pro that will simulate water temp., sun and moon cycles, etc. but really all that amounts to is geeky crap that has no bearing on spawning.
The only real reason to have moonlights over your tank is so that you can enjoy the reef "nightlife". While the cool factor is very high in that I can simulate the light and temp. cycles of the Marshall Islands, spawning has so much more to do wth other environmental elements.

Im not sure if you guys saw my BLOG, but I did add a night light to my tank from Ikea. Worked out great.
Other than that, a new roommate is in town. A Venustus Angel. The Bellus really dislikes him right now. Hopefully they will be friends soon. |

Dudester, thank you.
melev, you figured it out. Actually, the flash has a lot to do with it. cbui, not much at all after those incidents.. 2? I wouldnt mind getting the Skribble again. Im only looking out for beautiful colored fish just like I am with my corals. It all depends on the sizes of the fish on how many I will keep. I dont have a limit right now. Thanks everyone else! |
