Ick and LR

If I had LR in a quarantine tank with Ick, would I be able to transfer the LR back to my display tank without introducing the Ick to the display tank. Since only fish are a host for Ick, I wouldnt think so. Please advise. Thanks.

I was only speaking in hypothetical terms. There hasnt been any ick or treatment used. I was only considering the use of LR for biofiltration of my quarantine tank since I dont have much faith in my sponge filter. If Ick were to hitchike on the LR then I will scrap that idea. Thanks.

You can always allow the LR in your QT to go another 3 weeks in a fish-free qt. Of course, without fish, parasites can't complete their cycle and thus you can be assured of parasite-free LR to return back to your display tank. Just don't sucuum to wishful thinking and compromise on that say 3 weeks.
