It is starting to extend a feeding sweeper here and there - only like 5-6 total right now, but as I was looking at it very closely, I noticed a little 'arm' extending from the center, it reminds me of a porcelain crab, going in and out, in and out. Is this normal? It's not at all similar in appearance to the feeding sweepers, it looks kinda like the long arms of a spaghetti worm, except these are short and they move back and forth like a porcelain crab does with his fans.

Should I be concerned? It looks healthy.
Thanks!!
Look up barnacle. It is fine, and interesting to watch.

What a stunning coral. It makes me want it. Those polyps look enormous and comfy. Can we see the full coral please?

Full lighting. Pic was taken a few years back when I use to run Hamilton 14ks. Whole coral is totally purple.

Under regular lighting then? Then that is one great Favia. Nice pics, can you get a colony shot?

Nice pickups ianiwane. Here's my new Montastrea. I like it more and more every day. This is it's first day under the halide.

I bet that is a gorgeous coral if you don't use the flash. Look at those orange centers!

thanks, jocoxVT, I'll be looking forward to it!
Some VERY nice new additions to the gallery here, I love the Montastrea too. Such symmetry! Its what got me addicted to the whole Favid family in the first place.
That orange one also shows some of the way out colors we've seen. I'm digging it as well.

Thanks Matthew. I figured nobody would mind a Montastrea on the Favia thread...close enough.
