Is this acanthastrea the same as RF LE Micromussa amakusensis Pink Floyd?

Limited editions dont make a coral cool,it just happens that all limited editions are cool corals

the limited edition corals are getting a little out of hand if you ask me!!dont get me wrong i love nice corals but the prices and size of some frags are out of control!and what makes this guys limited addition limited and who gave him the power to bid it a limitted addition??just my thaughts hope i didnt affend anyone!

i'm just asking if this Acan look like the Micromussa amakusensis Pink Floyd. I'm still new to Acan and just wanted to Id before i get the coral.

isnt the pink floyd a lighter pink?this one is a bright bright red in the pics either way its a pretty coral!sorry about my ranting interuption !

That piece looks like a micro to me, just watch out for color change. Some pinks turn red, true pinks stay pink.

lord polyps are bigger than micromussa. micromussa polyps are the diameter of a dime where as lords polyps are the size of a quarter or larger. it looks like the pic has been blown up so i would assume that the polyps are tiny.

not to but in but the diffrence beetween micros and acans is the skeletal structure.ming at atlantis has blue micros that are as big as acans just because they are small doesent really meen anything!

Micromussa Amukusensis:
Characters: Colonies are cerioid with neat angular corallites up to 8 millimetres diameter. Septa have 1-3 large teeth. Colonies have a thick fleshy mantle usually covered with fine papillae.





Acanthastrea Lordhowensis:
Characters: Colonies are massive and cerioid, with laterally compressed corallites of uneven height. Walls are acute: septa are thick, with large teeth. Columellae are barely developed. Colonies have a thick fleshy mantle which is covered by fine papillae.
