Hi is4u2nv,

I wouldn't put those in my reef tank because:
Nudi- Even is its reef safe and if you have powerhand in your tank or overflow they will get sucked in. At less I had one not the same but they nudi just don't have to power to resist the suction even tho it was a very small powerhead.
Lobster-Haven't own one but had other type of lobster and for them to say "They will not harm or attack other invertebrates or fish, unless provoked" I would say Lier Lier. Why do they have such big claws for in the wild if they don't use it to caught stuff to eat. If you look at the Pacific lobster (ones we can buy to eat) they don't have the big claw. Crayfish (freshwater lobster) use those claws to ambush and caught stuff to eat and I would think that is the same with anything with sizeable claw.

If you set on getting the lobster I would just be careful with fish and clams. If its a coral only with some inverts then its probably ok depends on the other inverts. The Nudi I feel its just a waste of money in a reef with all the pumps and overflow.

The lobster that I had was the spiney lobster(blue color) no claws only problem with them is that they get big.

The nudi will most likely starve
The lobster will feast (on other tank residents)

I have one and to be honest I have no evidence of that at all.

BUT if I had my time over would I have another - NOPE, you never see him except if I peer through my rock to where I know he "lives", then I occassionaly get a glimpse of a claw or a leg. Except when he shed, I found his shell which I thought was his corpse until closer inspection !!!!!

here's some more about them:

Ok, I guess if I will never see him, and he could cause harm.. No real reason to get him. And on the Nudi, too bad. It looks cool!

Thanks a lot.
