caulepar predator snail

Anyone know what snail is it? When it's head's out, it's got 2 tentacle on it's head, just like normal vegetable snail. It's eating my caulepar and I had remove many of them but they keep on coming back. It's in the refugium, how do I get rid of them, any predator that will take them off?

Wink

it looks sort of like a Stomatella in shape.

you shouldn't kill them off. you should send them to Italy so they can eat the Caulerpa taxifolia.

shapes like stomatella shell, but it's not flat on it's back, it's standing up. I do have tons of stomatella in my main tank and refugium too. Too bad I am in Malaysia, thanks for your offer thou.

What's whelk, do you have a pix of it?

Man, if that thing only eats caulerpa, I'd LOVE to have that in my tank. Damn caulerpa is a weed.

It would be great if it ate only Caulpera.

Isn't it kinda good they are eating the caulerpa? Saves a lot of energy from ripping it out yourself!!

Is the shell bivalved like a clam, or just a single shell? If it's just one shell it's Oxynoe or Lobiger. If it's bivalved it's a Julid of some sort. In any case freshwater dipping the Caulerpa is probably the best way to get rid of them.

it's only one shell, just like the land snail. Too bad the whole caulepar will turn white after it ate part of it.
