T5 ballast and end caps?

I'm considering adding 2 additional T5s to my current 4x54W T5 retrofit kit currently mounted in my canopy. I think I have some spare reflectors, so all I really need are the end caps, standoffs, and the ballast. I would need an electronic ballast, and if it was an icecap, that would be great.

Rather than buy it all retail, I thought I would check if anyone local has these items laying around. I can buy it from ReefGeek for $159+shipping, but if someone wants some help in cleaning up their closet, I'd be more than happy to help them out.

Thanks!

I am currently running 4 110w VHOs.
I want to switch to 4 85w T5s (46")

I can get the end caps and stand offs from Phishy (I have a gift card to use).

I would like to use the IceCap reflectors. Reefgeek is selling them individually for $23.

If you want to get the two bulb kit I will split it with you. You keep the end caps, bulbs and ballast, I get the reflectors (for something like $20 each).
If they can combine shipping on two additional reflectors that would be great.

I have seen places offer free shipping on bulbs if you buy 6 at a time so I will probably order those seperately.

My bulbs have about 4-5 months on them so I am not in a rush. I just dislike the Pink hue the VHO bulbs have.

Sounds great, Ken.

I'm not really in any hurry either. To be honest, I need to validate that I can fit 2 more reflectors in the canopy. I did a rough measurement last night, but I need to get the mounting brackets out and double-check that I have space.

I have the Tek II reflectors currently and I'm pretty pleased with them. Why the Icecap reflectors?

How does placing the order in the early Feb timeframe sound to you?

If anyone else wants to participate in this order, let me know.

Early Feb sounds fine.

I have read the IceCap reflectors have the best reflectivity (higher grade aluminum than most) at 96%.

I think Sunlight Supply are also highly rated.

I just looked up the Tek II reflectors and they appear to be as good as the IceCap.
However Reef Geek does not carry Reef Tek reflectors.

Sounds like a plan. I'll double check the spacing for 2 more reflectors this weekend.

FYI - this is the original retrofit package I ordered. It has Tek II reflectors in it. I guess I don't understand what the difference between Sunlight Supply Tek 2 reflectors and Reef Tek 2 reflectors is.

bumping this post.

Ken went the route of MH lighting, so if anyone has a spare ballast (IceCap preferred) and/or other components to help me set up a 3rd 48" pair of T5 lights, let me know. I'll be happy to trade you some greenbacks for the items.

I have a B254PUNV-D that I'll trade for a small frag of something or another.

Here is the datasheet: http://www.gelighting.com/na/busines...B254PUNV-D.pdf

Mine are new and removed from lighting fixtures.

Sounds like that will work for the ballast. Would you happen to have any wiring left or the power cord?

Please pm me your contact info and we can work something out.
