No coral eating going on here!! After I feed nori to the fish, what ever is left over after lights out, he will eat it all. I have 3 total in the tank.

According to marine depot live

Will eat some hair algae but prefers fish, mussel and any animal based flesh.

I'd just be scared that it would knock over everything in my tank.

Thanks Pmolan.
How long did you have yours ? do they reproduce in tanks? mine must be 2-3x the size of the one in your picture mine is 2-3 time the size of that one in your picture.
do you know if this is a tiger cowrie or not?
Last question what is that coral above it?

I've had it in the display front portion of my refugium for around 10 days now. it mostly remained on the glass and still didn't cause any damage. ironically 2 Red hermits have knocked everything over in the tank and in that portion of the refugium after I put them there.

That one is maybe 3 years old. I have 3 total and never saw any baby cowries. It is a tiger cowrie. Above it is an elephant ear mushroom.
Another pic below of the mushroom.

Cowries are liable to graze on things, but I never heard of one that suddenly decided he wanted to wipe out your zoa's or eat your mushroom. They will rasp at algae, microorganisms on your rock, and maybe fish or whatever else you feed the tank. It very well may be a bulldozer, though, so you should keep that in mind. I think they are a cool enough addition to the tank that I wouldn't mind too much if it occasionaly nibbled on zoas or something, as they are sometimes accused of doing. They never nibbled on anything coral-related in my tank.

Beautiful tank, PMolan. Either your hands are really huge, or your cowry is a Lynx Cowry instead of a Tiger Cowry. They look fairly similar, but the teeth on the bottom are different and they don't get as large. Their behavior in a tank should be about the same, except yours won't relocate as much rock work.

Cheers,

Don

Interesting that the clowns get along with the 'shroom. It is a dangerous creature for most small fishes---but the clowns seem to have the right touch.
