Thanks chriis716. It wasn't my first choice but with the limited time, that's all I could do for now. I still need to build the canopy soon though. These lights just aren't enough and I have 4x5' T5's that I need to add.

Those are only 250's DE. Once the T5's are added, there'll be plenty of light. I thought about using 400's but I plan to keep some LPS in the tank.

Thanks guys.

Unfortunately, I lost the Blond Naso over the weekend. He hasn't been eating since I got him. Never knew that they could be finicky eaters.

Also having problems with ich on several fish, including the Powder Blue and Purple tangs. The Powder Blue is taking it pretty hard but the Purple is still very active and eating. Also saw a little bit on the female Watanabei and Crosshatch. Hope they all pull through.

Kenny,

Get that stainless steel clamp off of that skimmer feed tube. Use a zip tie or clamp. That thing WILL rust and drip into the sump.

Hey Kenny, long time no talk. Great looking tank - love the colors! You're right about that 14k bulb though - man, that thing is yellow.

Hey guys. Been slacking on the updates. Work travel sucks and there is no end in sight.

tacocat - I'll do that as soon as I get off my lazy butt

spleen - how ya been man. Hope everything is doing well yonder.

Anthony - Happy Holidays to you and your family. Congrats on your new tank. I'll have to check out your thread soon.

Well, I lost all the fish except for a purple tang due to an ich outbreak, including the crosshatch =(

Added a couple of new corals this month and these guys are huge.

Volleyball sized Bennett tort

10-12" diameter efflo colony with purple tips. Excuse the flatworm outbreak. I thought I was careful in transferring the corals into this tank. Oh well........

Pink A. prostrata

Teal blue A. loisetteae

Cali tort and the green slimer growing into each other

Dang, that tort and the efflo are amazing!! Welcome back, Kenny. Try not to work so hard. I'm trying too and failing miserably at it.

Nice work. Have you ever considered using natural lighting (Solartubes, etc.)? That's the first thing I would do if my tank was banished to the garage.

Great aquarium Kenny. I enjoyed your build a lot. I look forward to more updates. I am curious how the weather is there now that winter is on? Do you have to run heaters 24/7 now in the garage? I look forward to the new light rack build also. Great temporary idea with the pvc.
One more question, will you pull the tang out and let the system go fishless for a few months to end the ich issue?
